Denver Dermatology Consultants: A Business Profile

Denver Dermatology Consultants (DDC) saw the potential in Stapleton.

“We opened here in 2005. We had two offices already – one in Thornton and one in Wheat Ridge,” said DDC Practice Administrator Tym Johnson, adding that the medical provider had considered locating in other areas, but the Stapleton market had fewer healthcare facilities at the time.

“Stapleton had just opened up. It was new. It was growing,” he said.

Dr. Erin Welch, MD, Dr. Joe Simodynes, MD, and Dr. Carrie Cera Hill, MD, now practice at the Stapleton location, which also includes a laser center.

The center offers treatments such as fractional resurfacing and laser hair removal for skin concerns ranging from facial veins and scars to redness and uneven skin texture.

“We don’t offer laser services anywhere else,” Johnson said.

He said DDC has seen a lot of business and support from area residents. “Stapleton’s a true community and I see that the demographics like to identify with the community,” Johnson said. “I think that when they identify with the community, they like to keep their dollars in the community.”
