Update- September 1, 2011
The demolition of the old Cargo Bridge over I-70 from the Stapleton Airport days is ongoing and entering the last of 3 phases of removal. Starting Tuesday evening 9/6 we will be back to full I-70 closures for both EB and WB (these include a single lane of I-270 EB). Those full closures will continue over 5 consecutive nights through the morning of Sunday, 9/11. That should allow enough time to complete the demolition phase.
The specific hours of the full I-70 closures are as follows:

Sat 9/10 –Full I-70 closure EB from Quebec to Havana– 9:00 PM Sat– 7:00 AM Sun
Full I-70 closure WB from Quebec to Havana– 9:00 PM Sat–7:00 AM Sun
I-270 WB will not be affected.
The on and off-ramps will be used as the detours for the full I-70 closures. I-70 will be constricted down to one lane and then we will take traffic off on the ramps. They will go through the new diamond interchange and down the off-ramp back onto I-70. Pretty straightforward, but is strongly suggested traffic take alternate routes, especially the time-sensitive airport traffic on I-70 EB. Thanks for your patience and please always use caution in the work zone.
