The East 29th Avenue Town Center; By Jim DeCesaro, Weichert Realtors

As a resident of Stapleton since June of 2003 and a Realtor who focuses his business on Stapleton, I find it tough to put my finger on a single favorite spot. Many community features make Stapleton one of Denver’s premier neighborhoods. Of all the available amenities – the recreation center, pools (Aviator, Jet Stream, etc.), parks, restaurants and shops, I find the East 29^thAvenue Town Center to be the spot I love the most.

Why such favoritism toward the town center? Well, not only does it offer local flair – Udi’s, The Berkshire, Art & Framing at Stapleton, Cycleton, U-Shampooch, etc … it also offers bigger brands – Chipotle, Noodles, Starbucks, so you will always find something worth patronizing in the town center.

When meeting with clients, I often suggest the town center to give them a firsthand idea about the vibrancy the venue offers – it’s a great introduction and selling point to living in Stapleton. Lately, the East 29^thAvenue Town Center’s Denver Public Library has been an exciting addition to my conversation with buyers. Its planned opening in 2012 will help Stapleton to take a larger step forward in attracting new neighbors.

At the end of the day, what I really find attractive about East 29^th Avenue Town Center is the many familiar faces of the owners, workers and patrons that I have come to recognize – they add a friendly, quaint feeling in an otherwise large, urban setting. As cliché as it sounds, every now and then, I find the theme song from the old sitcom, “Cheers,” running through my head – “Where Everyone Knows Your Name”  by  Gary Portnoy and Judy Hart Angelo.
